Craig Melvin Family, Education

Craig Delano Melvin was born on 20 May 1979 in Columbia, South Carolina. He is one of the three sons of Lawrence Melvin and Betty Melvin. His father worked shifts at the post office in South Carolina and his mother was a teacher. He has an older brother Lawrence Meadows and a younger brother named Ryan Melvin.

Melvin with a height of 5 feet 6½ inches attended high school at his hometown. He graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government at the age of 22 in 2001.

Career; NBC, MSNBC

Craig began his journalism career from WIS, a dual NBC/CW-affiliated television station while he was in high school. There, he worked as an anchor and reporter from 2001 to 2008. He then joined WRC-TV, an NBC owned-and-operated television station in 2008 and worked as a news anchor until 2011.

Melvin joined the MSNBC News in 2011 and started to work as a weekend anchor on MSNBC Live. He became NBC News correspondent in 2012. Meanwhile, he appeared as a co-anchor on NBC’s Weekend Today from 2015 to 2018. As of January 2019, he appears as a permanent co-host of Today Third Hour on NBC.

Lindsay, aged 42 works for Fox Sports as a studio host for NASCAR coverage and a sideline reporter for NFL games.

The couple first met in 2008 when Melvin introduced one of Czarniak’s sports segments and began dating. Meanwhile, they even kept their relationship a secret from their colleagues over many months. Craig and Lindsay are the parents of two children. They welcomed their first child, a son named Delano Joseph Melvin on 10 March 2014. Similarly, they have a daughter named Sybil Ann Melvin, born on 5 November 2016.
