Comedian Brody Stevens Dies At Age 48 From Suicide!

The Blast obtained audio of emergency dispatchers responding to a 911 call about a “hanging” of Brody Stevens. He died just before three months of his 49th birthday.

American stand-up comedian Brody Stevens dies at the age of 48 on 22nd February 2019. His representative confirmed with a statement.

Brody was an inspiring voice who was a friend to many in the comedy community. He pushed creative boundaries and his passion for his work and his love of baseball were contagious. He was beloved by many and will be greatly missed. We respectfully ask for privacy at this time.

The Hangover star was found dead at the Los Angeles and the police are investigating the cause of death as being a suicide by hanging.

Previously, Brody was suffering from depression and mental health issues. He along with Zach Galifianakis even produced a Comedy Central show that comprises of his battle with biopolar disorder, Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!

You were a groundbreaking comedian who meant so much to all of us. We will miss you, Brody Stevens.

The flood of tributes is appearing on social media, where various celebrities like comedian Sarah Silverman, Emmy-winning director Peter Atencio, and actor-comedian Nick Kroll gave their words to the late comedian.

The veteran comedian was born as Steven James Brody on 22nd May 1970 and grew up with his mother and older sister in San Fernando Valley, California. His family is from New Mexico and Arizona and his father, Harold Morris Brody used to work as a private investigator.

Brody is known for his role as a Police Officer Foltz on 2009 comedy, The Hangover. Some of his on-screen work includes Comedy Bang! Bang! (2012-2015) and Those Who Can’t (2016). The unmarried actor boasted the estimated net worth of $1.5 million dollars from his career.
