Standing at a tall height of 6 feet and 6 inches (1.98 meters), Chase Young attended St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, Maryland for about two years before transferring to DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. There he commenced his amateur football career and later took it further joining Ohio State University.

Career Stats

During his senior year at the DeMatha Catholic High School, Chase and his team won the 2016 state championship. He was also considered one of the top 10 players in the nation of any position. Besides, he was also included in the U.S. Army All-American and American Family Insurance All-USA Football teams.

Chase committed to play college football at Ohio State in November 2016. Eventually, he recorded four sacks as a freshman for the Ohio State Buckeyes. During his sophomore season, he managed to record 10.5 sacks on the season despite spraining both ankles. Later on 26 October 2019, he tied Ohio State program records for sacks and tackles in a win against Wisconsin. He ended the 2019 season with 16.5 total sacks and 38 total tackles.
