Joshua Rush is an American actor who earned his recognition from his role as Little Sylar on the NBC superhero series Heroes. He has appeared in the main role as Cyrus Goodman on the Disney Channel family comedy series Andi Mack.

Joshua Rush Bio, Family

Joshua was born on 14 December 2001 in Houston, Texas. He is the son of Adam, a marketing strategist, and mother Beryt Nisenson, a corporate documentary producer. In February 2020, he revealed that his parents divorced in an article published on Teen Vogue. Furthermore, he discussed his mental health issues because of the divorce in the article. He was raised Jewish by his family.

Standing at a height of 5 feet 8 inches, he pursued his high school education after moving to Los Angeles. He is now attending college at the Gallatin School Of Individualized Studies, a small interdisciplinary college within New York University.

Joshua made his acting debut at the age of seven from ABC’s medical drama television series Private Practice. In the same year, he was cast in a recurring role of Little Sylar in NBC’s superhero drama series Heroes. He appeared in the several episodes of drama series Chuck, playing Young Chuck.

In 2012, he made his movie debut, portraying the character of Turner Simmons in the family comedy, Parental Guidance. He has appeared in several movies including Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2014), Break Point (2014), and Sex, Death, and Bowling (2015).

In 2015, he appeared in the four episodes of the TV show, 40’s and Failing. Meanwhile, in 2017, he was cast as the main gay character as Cyrus Goodman on the Disney Channel family comedy series Andi Mack. He appeared on the show from 2017 until its end in 2019.

The 18-year-old actor came out as bisexual on his Twitter on 6 August 2019. He shared a series of tweets in which stated that he felt the courage to tell that he is an out and proud bisexual man because of the character Cyrus, he played for four years.
