The actor was born on 26 January 1967 in Manila, the Philippines to parents, Toni McBrier and Michael A. Callen. His father is an international banker. Talking about his education, he went to Northfield Mount Hermon High School in Gill, Massachusetts to complete graduation in 1985. He then attended American University with a bachelor’s degree in History.
