Initially, Alexi served as a pro bono assistant DA in King’s County, New York. She worked as a criminal prosecutor in sex trafficking cases at her time in New York. Later in 2012, she served as a legal intern at Human Rights First and later became a legal counsel for an investment service in New York.
In the meantime, Alexi rejoined the King’s County District Attorney Office as an assistant DA in 2013. She specialized in special victims and human trafficking before leaving her position in 2018. After that, she works as an attorney for Sanctuary for Families.
Alexi also co-chairs the New York State Anti-Trafficking Coalition. She works on behalf of women around the world to stop domestic violence and human trafficking.

Former longtime Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Kattan got married in 2008 and Alexi attended the wedding as her sister’s guest.
