Ashley was born to parents Corning Lahey and Pauline Lahey on 26 October 1999. Her birthplace is Boulder, Colorado, United States.
The player’s mother Pauline serves as a Project Planner at Scitec Science and Technology. She is a graduate of Durban University of Technology with a degree in Hotel Management.
Lahey’s parents divorced when she was young. She is accompanied by two siblings; a brother named Michael Lahey and a sister named Kristen Lahey.

Her Career Journey
As a junior, Lahey achieved a career-best ITF Junior Ranking of no. 58 on 26 September 2016. In the same year, she won titles in the 35th Woody Hunt South Bay Junior Closed Tournament in both the girls’ 18 singles and doubles categories.
From 2016 to 2020, she played collegiate tennis at Pepperdine University. There, she reached the 2018 NCAA Singles Championship and finished as a runner-up as a sophomore. Moreover, she won the Oracle/ITA Masters, the Women’s Collegiate Invitational, and the ITA All-American Championships in 2019.
Ashley won her first major ITF title with Russian partner Maria Kozyreva at the 2022 Tyler Pro Challenge in the doubles events in October 2022. Throughout her career, she has won one singles and four doubles titles at the ITF Circuit.
