The player was born as Andre Tyler Iguodala on 28 January 1984 in Springfield, Illinois. His parents Leonard and Linda Shaklin, raised him and his older brother, Frank. Andre went to Lanphier High School in Springfield, Illinois, and then committed to Arizona College from 2002 until 2004.
