Paxton Lynch is an American football quarterback, who currently plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Memphis Tigers of the University of Memphis.

Paxton James Lynch was born on 12 February 1994 to parents David Lynch and Stacie Lynch. He spent his early life with his brother Evin Lynch in San Antonio, Texas.

Lynch pursued his early education at Trinity Christian Academy in Deltona, Florida. While in high school, he played football and basketball. Afterward, he went to the University of Memphis and graduated with B.S.E. in sport and leisure management at age 22 in 2016. He stands at a towering height of 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 meters) and weighs 244 lbs (111 kg).

Paxton played college football for the Memphis Tigers for three seasons from 2013 to 2015. He was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round (26th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. In his first season he had stats of 497 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and one interception. He played two seasons with the Broncos having just four starts and threw four touchdowns and four interceptions.

In January 2019, Lynch signed with the Seattle Seahawks and was waived on August 30, 2019 during final roster cuts. Afterward, he signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad on 17 September 2019.
