About 5 feet and 11 inches (1.80 meters) tall in height, Ronald Darby attended Potomac High School in his hometown. There, he played high school football in as many as six different positions on offense, defense, and special teams. Eventually, he enrolled at Florida State University and continued his amateur career.

Ronald Darby began his NFL journey after the Buffalo Bills picked him 50th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. Later on 19 May 2015, he penned a four-year, $4.56 million contract with the team that came with $2.17 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $1.58 million.

He ringed his NFL debut in the Bills’ season-opener against the Indianapolis Colts. In the game, he recorded six combined tackles and two pass deflections to help his side in a 27-14 win over the Colts. Ronald was named the starting cornerback to start in the 2016 regular season.  However, he was traded by the Bills to the Philadelphia Eagles on 11 August 2017.

Ronald shared a Super Bowl (LII) championship with the Eagles as they defeated the New England Patriots 41-33. In the game, he had 4 tackles and 2 passes defended. Coming to the 2019 season, he signed a one-year, $8.5 million deal to remain with the Eagles.
