Seth Benjamin Gesshel-Green was born on 8 February 1974 to parents Herb Green and Barbara Gesshel. His father was a teacher whereas his mother was an artist. He grew up with an older sister Kaela Green in Overbrook Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Standing at the height of 5 feet 4 inches (1.63 meters), Seth attended Robert E. Lamberton High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There, he got graduated with honors.

At an early age, Seth used to appear on commercials for various companies like Kodak and Burger King. He made his acting debut from the 1984 movie Billions for Boris. Meanwhile, he provided his voice to for Batman Beyond from 1999 to 2001. Some of his movies include Rat Race (2001), Yellowbird (2014), Krampus (2015), Dear Dictator (2018) and Changeland (2019).

Seth co-created animated comedy series Robot Chicken in 2005 and also directed sequels of Robot Chicken: Star Wars. Moreover, he appears in the main role as Chris Griffin and on Various Voices characters on the animated sitcom Family Guy. Some of his TV shows are Greg the Bunny (2002), Four Kings (2006), Dads (2013), Guardians of the Galaxy (2018), and Historical Roasts (2019).
