Initially, Youssoufa played in the under-13 team of FC St. Pauli for two years until 2016. He then joined Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy and played in the Under 17 Bundesliga with the team.
Moreover, he played Under 19 Bundesliga and UEFA Youth League games making a significant impact in the games. He made his Bundesliga debut against Hertha BSC on 21 November 2020 and became the youngest player in Bundesliga history.
Moukoko also made another record by being the youngest player in the UEFA Champions League history after making his debut against Zenit Saint Petersburg on 8 December 2020.
