Yasmani was born on 8 November 1988 in Havana, Cuba to parents, Maria Luisa Gomez and Avelino Grandal. He went to Miami Springs High School in Miami Springs, Florida, and got the recognition as a 19th best high school baseball player in 2007. Then, he went to the University of Miami, to play for the college team, Miami Hurricanes.

The player stands at the height of 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and weighs around 107 kg.

Career & Net Worth

Yasmani’s professional career started after the Cincinnati Reds picked him in the 2010 MLB draft. He agreed to sign a four-year contract worth $3.2 million on 16 August 2010. Surprisingly during the 2011 season end, he allied with AFL team, Phoenix Desert Dogs.

On late 2011, the Reds traded him to San Diego Padres where he played until 2014 season. Likewise, the Padres traded him to Los Angeles Dodgers on 18 December 2014 with a paycheck of $32 million. In 2017, the team offered a $5.5 million contract and $7.9 million settlements in 2018.
