She then served as a weekend anchor on NBC-affiliated WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a dual CBS/CW+-affiliated KFDM-TV in Beaumont, Texas.

Sandra worked for nine years at another ABC-affiliate WSB-TV in Atlanta from 1989 to 1998. There, she served as the weekend anchor of the Action News. In 1998, she joined the ABC7 Eyewitness News as a reporter. Later, she was named as a weekend anchor of Eyewitness News. As of now, she co-anchors the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. weekend editions of Eyewitness News.
