As a junior, Musetti won the 2019 Australian Open boys’ singles title by defeating Emilio Nava in January 2019. He has won two ATP Tour singles titles after turning professional in 2019.
At the age of 17, he made his ATP Tour main draw debut at the Dubai Tennis Championships in February 2020. Likewise, he won his first title at the 2022 Hamburg European Open by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
Lorenzo ended the year 2022 by participating in the Next Generation ATP Finals. He began the year 2023 by achieving a career-high ranking of world no 19.
