Standing tall at a height of 5 feet and 11 inches (1.80 meters), Walker attended Elizabeth High School located in his hometown. Eventually, he was up and running with his amateur football career. During his junior year at the school, Walker threw for 2,168 yards and 18 touchdowns, while going 63.5 percent in passing percentage.
