Wesley has been married to his lovely wife Emily Dague Hunt.
The couple got hitched on 17 March 2018. Moreover, their wedding was held at Union Station in Kansas City.
Hunt first met his future wife Emily in the year 2014. After dating for three years, they got engaged in May 2017. Wesley proposed to her with an engagement ring at Minute Maid Park, the home ballpark of the MLB team, Houston Astros.
Emily holds a job in healthcare and serves as an Advanced Practice Provider Manager at Texas Children’s Urgent Care at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is also an instructor at Baylor University.

Wesley and his wife are blessed with three lovely kids. They have two daughters named Victoria and Olivia Hunt and a son named Willie Parish Hunt 2nd.
Victoria came to this world on 9 February 2019. Likewise, their second daughter Olivia was born on 26 September 2020.
Their youngest child Willie was born prematurely on 27 December 2022. As he needed time in the neonatal intensive care unit, Wesley had to leave the Speaker of the House election on its fourth day, missing the 12th and 13th ballots before returning the same day.

The politician comes from a military family. His father served 23 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a lieutenant colonel. He is accompanied by a sister D’Hania Hunt, who is 10 years older than him, and a brother named Wrendon Hunt.
D’Hania also served 23 years in the military and Wrendon graduated from the academy a year after him and went on to serve five years in the U.S. Navy.
Hunt is descended from enslaved people brought to the United States from Africa. His great-great-grandfather and great-great-grandmother were held in bondage as slaves at Rosedown Plantation in Saint Francisville, Louisiana.
Wesley attended St. John’s School from where he completed his high school. He then graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point with a bachelor’s degree in leadership management with a field of study in mechanical engineering in 2004.
After his military service, he went to Cornell University and earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.), and a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations (M.I.L.R.) in 2016.

Wesley began serving as the U.S. representative for Texas’s 38th congressional district at the beginning of the 118th U.S. Congress on 3 January 2023 and his term ends on 3 January 2025.
A member of the Republican Party, he sits on the House Judiciary, Natural Resources, and Small Business Committees. On the Small Business Committee he chairs the Rural Development, Energy, and Supply Chains. Likewise, he is endorsing Donald Trump’s campaign in the 2024 presidential election.
Earlier, Hunt ran for Texas’s 7th congressional district in the 2020 elections. Moreover, he won the Republican primary election with 61% of the vote but lost the general election to incumbent Democrat Lizzie Fletcher. He also won the election to U.S. House in Texas’ 38th Congressional District in 2022.
Previously, he held a job in the military and was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point. He then spent eight years in the Army as an Aviation Branch Officer and AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter pilot.
Furthermore, his service includes one combat deployment to Iraq and two deployments to Saudi Arabia where he served as a Diplomatic Liaison Officer. While in Saudi Arabia, he served as a liaison officer representing the U.S. Government in missions involving the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Corps.
