Born as Jacques Berman Webster II on 30 April 1991, his grandmother raised him in South Park, Houston. He spent his early age in the high-crime area of the south-central Houston. Later, he moved to Missouri City to live with his father Jacques Webster and mother Wanda Webster.

Travis graduated at the age of 17 from Elkins High School in 2008. He then went to the University of Texas San Antonio but dropped out later to pursue his music career.
