The player was born on 4 January 1990 in Greifswald, East Germany to parents, Birgit Kammer and Roland Kroos. His mother is a former German badminton player and current sports biology teacher while his father is a former professional wrestler and football coach. Besides parents, he has a younger brother, Felix Kroos, who is also a professional footballer.

Toni stands at the height of 6 feet (1.83 m) and weighs around 78 kg.

The 29-year-old has a net worth of $25 million from his impeccable playing career of over a decade old. His initial career was with local club Greifswalder SC and then Bayern Munich‘s youth setup in 2006. Two years later in the 2007/2008 season, he secured three goals in 12 appearances for Bayern Munich II in the Regionalliga Sud.

Munich had no choice but to transfer the player to Bayern Leverkusen on 31 January 2009. The only reason for the move was to gain an 18-month loan experience as a first-team experience. A year later, he returned to play for Munich in 2010 and played for the team until early 2014.

During the 2014 summer transfer saga, he went to Spanish giants Real Madrid. He and the team agreed upon a contract on 17 July 2014 between €24 and €30 million. The transfer also made his first youth team, Greifswalder SV 04 to receive €60,000.

The 29-year-old and his wife, Jessica Farber relished a tremendous marital life. She was his long-time girlfriend until they went to exchange their wedding vows on 13 June 2015. Two years before their marriage, they welcomed their first child as a son, Leon, born on 14 August 2013. Almost four years later, they had another child as a daughter, Amelie born on 20 July 2016.
