American ice hockey player Charlie Coyle is officially traded to Boston Bruins! The 26-year-old forward had a six-year stint at the NHL side, Minnesota Wild, before making his move to the Bruins on 20 February 2019.

Sharp with offensive instincts and excellent hands, Charlie Coyle possesses an ability to both set up teammates and finish off plays himself on the hockey field. The talented forward has been a bright star in the National Hockey League since entering the playfield in 2012.

Charlie Coyle, age 26, was born as Charles Robert Coyle on 2 March 1992, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Though his parents remain a touch distant from media recognition, Charlie often mentions that they influenced him a lot to make believe his dream of conquering the hockey world.

However, Charlie’s other family members involve the known faces in the hockey world. He is the cousin of two former NHL stars, Tony Amonte and Bobby Sheehan.

Charlie stands at a tall height of 6 feet and 3 inches (1.91 m) and weighs around 100kg (221 lbs). He is of white ethnic group and holds American nationality.

NHL Career

Before stepping his foot in the grand field of NHL, Charlie bagged a healthy amateur career in both high school and college. He played for Weymouth High School during his freshman year and later was part of Tier III Junior A Ice hockey in the Eastern Junior Hockey League with the South Shore Kings.

Besides, Charlie’s college career picked up with the Boston University Terriers. He committed to play NCAA Division I College Ice Hockey with the Terriers.

With a three-year entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild on 1 March 2012, Charlie announced his arrival in the National Hockey League. Nearly a year later, he made his NHL debut wearing number 63 on, 4 February 2013. His first ever NHL goal game against Calgary Flames on 23 February 2013.

Charlie, later on, changed his jersey number to 3 and also claimed a wonderful season in 2015-16 with 21 each goal and assists from 82 regular season games, Finally, after his six-year stay at the Wild, Coyle was traded to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Ryan Donato on 20 February 2019.

Though the star forward is going great with his NHL career, his actual net worth still remains under review. However, the newest Bruins’ signing earns an average salary of $3,200,000.

Besides, while his third season with the Minnesota Wild, Charlie signed a whopping $16 Million-worth 5-year contract with the team which was supposed to last through the 2019-20 season. However, Bruins grabbed him a touch early.
