The player was born on 24 January 1999. He grew up in Montgomery, Alabama raised by parents Henry Ruggs III Sr. and Nataki Ruggs. His mother who is 44 years of age is a former high school track athlete in Junction City, Kan. 

According to Roll Tide Wire, his dad cleared it out that his son was moving a trailer that caused a little incision to cut his leg on 1 June 2020, left with an open wound. He also made clear that Henry will have to walk through crutches. Besides parents, his other family includes his brother, Kevontae who is a former football player for Ole Miss in 2018 before transferring to Eastern Mississippi Community College in 2019.

Henry went to Robert E. Lee High School. During his senior year, he made 38 catches for 639 yards and 20 total touchdowns over nine games. He then chose Alabama College. As a true freshman in 2017, he made 12 receptions for 229 yards and six touchdowns. In 2018 he made 46 receptions for 741 yards and 11 touchdowns and in 2019, 40 receptions for 746 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns.

Career Details: Contract & Raiders 

After three illustrious careers at Alabama College, it was apparent Henry would be a great prospect for the 2020 NFL Draft. He got the fortune to play for the Raider after being selected as the 12th overall pick. On 21 July 2020, he and the team agreed upon a four-year contract worth $16,67 million. A part of the contract also included a team option for a fifth-year.

Henry’s big NFL debut came on 13 September 2020. The athlete made three receptions for 55 yards in a 34-30 win against the Carolina Panthers.

The 21-year-old and his girlfriend, Kiara Washington have been dating for some time now. After a grand ceremony to honor the parents-to-be on 2 May 2020, the pair welcomed their only child as a daughter, Kenzli Re’Nai Rugs in early June 2020.
