The 24-years-of-age basketball star was born as Demetrius Montell Jackson Jr. on 7 September 1994, to his parents, Demetrius Jackson Sr. and Juanita Jones. He grew up in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana, the United States.

Standing tall at a height of 6 feet and 1 inch (1.85 m), Demetrius attended Marian High School in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he played for his high school basketball team. Subsequently, he enrolled at the University of Notre Dame. Soon, he joined and played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men’s basketball team.

Career Stats, Contract & Salary

After a promising college career, Demetrius Jackson marched his feet to the NBA world after the Boston Celtics selected him as the 45th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft on 23 June 2016. Later on 27 July, he signed a contract with the Celtics with the offered annual salary of $1,450,000. Demetrius ringed his debut on 6 November in a 123-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

The player joined Houston Rockets on 21 August 2017, after signing a two-way contract with the proposed salary of $149,159. In the meantime, he switched to the Philadelphia 76ers on 14 January 2018, after penning another two-way contract.

Finally, Demetrius was introduced as new Lakers’ signing on 13 August 2019.  He is set to earn the annual salary of 1,678,854 for the 2019/20 season.
