Robyn Griggs passed away on Saturday, 13 August 2022, after battling cervical cancer for a long time. The actress disclosed in 2020 that she had cervical cancer at stage 4.

In fact, Robyn often documented her health struggles over the last couple of years on her Facebook page. She had initially gone to the hospital for a pap smear and found out that she had stage 4 endocervical adenocarcinoma in 2020.

Moreover, Robyn recently updated that she had 4 new tumors: two on her liver, one on her abdominal muscle, and one on her right side lymph node. Sadly, she lost her battle with the deadly disease.

Robyn’s death was confirmed in a statement on her Facebook page on Saturday. It read,

Hi everyone,

With a heavy heart, I am saddened to announce Robyn’s passing.

However, she is no longer suffering and would want us to remember that and the good memories.

I will never forget how open she was to telling her story, and accepting of me helping her tell it. She wanted to help people and spread the word of her story to do it. I was honored to do so.

RIP my friend, I love you and smile when I think of you.
