A new family member is on the way for Jenna Bush Hager and her husband, who are already a parents of two kids. The children’s grandparents are former U.S. President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.

Jenna Bush Hager is soon-to-be a mother of three!

The co-host of NBC’s “Today” announced during the show on 22 April 2019 that she and her husband Henry Hager are expecting a baby. She revealed the gender of the baby as a boy.

We weren’t really trying to get pregnant. We had some fertility issues with Poppy. It’s a little bit of a shock, but it’s such great news.

Previously, she said on Today in 2016 that she always thought of a boy, and would name him after her beloved grandfather Harold Welch, who died in 1995.

Jenna and her husband Henry are already the parents of two daughters: 6-year-old Mila Hager and 3-year-old Poppy Louise Hager.

The 37-year-old met her future husband Henry during the 2004 presidential campaign. He proposed Jenna with the permission of her father in August 2006. The couple exchanged the wedding vows at a private ceremony on 10 May 2008 at Prairie Chapel Ranch near Crawford, Texas.

Henry, aged 40 served as a U.S. Department of Commerce aide for Carlos Gutierrez and also as a White House aide for Karl Rove. He is an MBA graduate from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Jenna Welch Bush was born on 25 November 1981 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas to the Bush family. She is the daughter of the former U.S. President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. She has a twin sister named Barbara Bush, an American activist and the co-founder and board chair of the non-profit organization Global Health Corps.

Bush pursued her high school education from Austin High School in 2000. Later, she went to the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a degree in English in 2004.

Jenna was a teacher at Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School for a year after her father’s presidency. Similarly, she is the author of several books that include Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope (2008), and Our Great Big Backyard (2016).

In 2009, she joined NBC and started to work as a correspondent and contributor for the Today Show. She replaced Kathie Lee Gifford to join as a co-host of the fourth hour of the Today show in earlier April 2019.
