Known by the nicknames “The Notorious” and “Mystic Mac”, Conor McGregor recently gained the media attention but not for a good cause. He was charged for allegedly damaging his fan’s property during his family vacation.

The 30-year old was arrested in South Florida because of allegedly slapping a phone valued at $1,000 out of a fan’s hand and stomping on it. He allegedly blew his stack when an MMA fan, Ahmed Abdirzak, attempted to take a picture of him outside Fountainebleu Hotel in Miami Beach.

McGregor was charged with strong-armed robbery, a second-degree felony, and criminal mischief, a third-degree felony. He was released from Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after posting $12,500 bond later in the day.

Conor has been in Miami along with family members for several days to celebrate his mother Margaret’s 60th birthday. The trip is joined by his father Tony, sister Erin and long-time partner Dee Devlin.

The Irish fighter has been together with his partner Dee Devlin for more than nine years. Dee, aged 31 is a native of Walkinstown, Dublin and she is an official member of McGregor’s team, managing his finances.

Conor started his MMA career in 2008, winning both the Cage Warriors Featherweight and Lightweight Championships in 2012.

In 2015 he defeated José Aldo for the UFC Featherweight Championship, via knockout thirteen seconds into the first round, the fastest victory in UFC title fight history. He became the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight divisions simultaneously after defeating Eddie Alvarez for the UFC Lightweight Championship in 2016.
