Subsequently, Vanessa lived for ten years in the State of Aguascalientes, Mexico before returning back to her home city.  

Carrying the tall height of 5 feet and 8 inches (1.73m), Vanessa is fluent in both English and Spanish languages.

Finally, the 68th Miss World event held in China saw Vanessa Ponce De Leon crowned as a first-ever Mexican Miss World. She was handed the eminent crown by Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar of India. Similarly, at the end of her reign, she crowned her successor Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica as Miss World 2019 on 14 December 2019 in London.
