Costa’s childhood was far from easy. Growing up in a large family with 10 siblings, he spent his early years selling popsicles on the streets of Porto de Moz. His childhood cites the onset of vitiligo, a condition that causes loss of skin pigment.

Out of 10 siblings, the names of his two brothers are Melquesedeque Costa and Melquizaqui Costa. Sadly, one of his brothers tragically passed away in 2013 from a worksite accident.

Career Earnings and Financial Success

While his total net worth is private, Costa’s earnings have seen a significant boost following his recent success. His career earnings on Tapology are around $50,000, though this does not include recent performance bonuses, sponsorship deals, or his most recent high-profile win against Ige.

He has used these challenges to fuel his advocacy, frequently visiting schools and hospitals to inspire those living with similar conditions.
