Brian Patrick Stelter was born on 3^rd September 1985 in Damascus, Maryland. He is one of the three children of Mark R. Stelter and Donna M. Stelter and has a brother named Jason and another brother. His father used to fix appliances and was the owner of his own one-man company, Appliance Works. He was raised Methodist and does not believe in religion.

Stelter pursued his high school education from Damascus High School, graduating in 2003. Afterward, he went to Towson University and received a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism in 2007. As a freshman in college, he created TVNewser, a blog covering the television news industry.

Brian began his career at the age of 22 as a media reporter for The New York Times in July 2007. There, he covered TV and digital media for the Business Day and Arts sections of the newspaper.

Well, the 34-year-old is currently married to Jamie Shupak. They tied a wedding knot in front of friends and families on 22 February 2014. The Jewish ceremony was held at the Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia. The couple began dating in 2010.

Jamie, aged 38 is an Emmy-nominated morning traffic anchor in New York for NY1. A native of Philadelphia, she graduated from the University of Maryland in 2003.

Do They Have Children?

Brian and his wife Jamie are the proud parents of two children. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sunny Ray Stelter on 21 May 2017.

Their second child, a son named Story Moon Stelter was born on 7 August 2019. The couple decided to raise their children as Jewish. As of now, the family of four resides in Lincoln Square, Manhattan.
