The CNN talent was born as Brianna Marie Keilar on 21 September 1980 to parents Glenn Keilar and Miriam Allen Keilar. Her father Glen is Australian whereas her mother Miriam is American. She has a sister in her family named Kelly Keilar. Her family moved to the United States when she was 2 years old and settled in Orange County, California.

Brianna with an impressive height of 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 meters) pursued her early education from Mission Viejo High School. She then went to the University of California, Berkeley, from where she graduated in Mass Communications and Psychology at the age of 21.

Brianna began her career as a production assistant and intern at a CNN and FOX affiliate KTVU-TV station in San Francisco. She was a general assignment reporter for the CNN and CBS affiliate, KIMA-TV in Yakima, Washington.

Later, Keilar moved to CBS, where she took various responsibilities as an anchor, reporter, and producer for its newscast. In 2006, she joined the CNN as a correspondent for CNN Newsource and later worked congressional correspondent. She was the lead reporter, covering Hillary Clinton and the Democratic field during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Brianna married Fernando Lujan on 30^th December 2016 at a weekend-long New Year’s celebration in Las Vegas. The pair was engaged before six months of their nuptials during the Independence Day fireworks in July 2016.

Fernando, aged 42 is an Army Special Forces officer and a director on the National Security Council at the White House. The couple welcomed a baby boy named Antonio Allen Martinez Lujan on 8^th July 2018. Fernando has an older son named Teddy Lujan from his previous relationship.
