Araksya began her career as an internee at KABC-TV in Los Angeles, KFI 640 AM Radio in Burbank, and Torrance CitiCABLE 3. Afterward, she worked as a reporter, anchor, and producer at KIDK-TV in Idaho Falls.
Karapetyan then moved to Portland, Oregon, and served as a general assignment reporter for two years at a CBS-affiliated KOIN-TV. There she appeared in the evening newscasts with the big investigative stories of the day and also hosted a lifestyle show.
In 2012, she moved to Los Angeles, California, and began reporting and anchoring at Fox 11 KTTV. As of now, she serves as a co-anchor on Good Day LA, a morning television news and entertainment program on the network.
