Joined Ipswich Town In 2022
Before joining Morecambe, Davis began his career at the English youth football club Wallsend Boys Club in Wallsend, North Tyneside. He was on the Morecambe team from 2016 to 2018.
In June 2018, he joined EFL Championship side Leeds United and linked up with the academy side. He played with the Under 23s and was later promoted to the first team as an unused substitute. His under-23s side won the PDL Northern League 2018–19 season and became the national Professional Development League champions by beating Birmingham City in the final.
Leif then joined the Championship side AFC Bournemouth on a season-long loan deal for the 2021-22 season. Following the season, he joined Ipswich Town on a three-year contract in July 2022. His performance in the second season earned him a place in both the EFL League One Team of the Season and the PFA League One Team of the Season.
