In April 2014, she underwent her dominant left wrist surgery that resulted in absences from the WTA Tour. Likewise, in July 2018, she underwent hip surgery and has not appeared in the WTA Tour since then.

Born on 21 January 1994, Robson is 27 years of age now. She was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Laura is the youngest of three children of Australian parents Andrew Robson and Kathy Robson. Her father Andrew is the UK Country Operations Manager at Shell, a Dutch multinational oil and gas company.
Moreover, her mother Kathy is a former basketball player and sports coach. She has an elder brother named Nicholas Robson and an elder sister named Emily Robson. Nick is a professional swimmer.
Robson moved to Singapore with her family when she was just 18 months old. Later, her family went to the United Kingdom when she was six and settled there.

Laura started playing tennis at the age of six with her parents. She made her debut on the ITF Junior Circuit in 2007. After a year, she won the Junior Wimbledon championships when she was just 14.
The 5-foot-7 inch won her first tournament on the ITF Women’s Circuit in November 2008. Likewise, she reached the final of the girls’ singles tournament at the Australian Open, in 2009 and 2010.
Robson became the first British woman after 1998 to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament at the 2012 US Open and the 2013 Wimbledon Championships.
