The wrestler was born as Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah on 14 August 1981 in Kumasi, Ashanti, Ghana. His parents, Kwasi Sarkodie-Mensah and Elizabeth Sarkodie-Mensah raised him. Kofi went to Winchester High School and then Boston College to complete his education.
