The former was born on 13 October 1977, as Paul Anthony Pierce in Oakland, California. His single mother, Lorraine Hosey raised him with his two half-brothers, Jamel Hosey, and Steve Hosey. After the family migrated to Inglewood, Paul went to Inglewood high school with his half-siblings in 1991.

Similar to his single season at Nets, Paul agreed on a three-year contract of $10 million with the Los Angeles Clippers on 10 July 2015.

Surprisingly his retirement was with Celtics after signing a ceremonial contract on 10 July 2017. The Celtics on 18 August 2017 announced his number 34 jersey would be officially be retiring on 11 February 2018.

After a giant of a playing career, Paul and his wife, Julie Pierce: an interior designer has some time for their kids. The pair got hitched on 17 July 2010 at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California. A close of 80 people including close friend and family members attended the wedding.
