Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom aka Orlando Bloom is an English actor known for his role as Legolas in the fantasy drama Lord of the Rings. He is also acknowledged as Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean series and Prince Paris in the historical drama Troy. Apart from that, Orlando is also the international ambassador of the UNICEF.

42-years-of-age Orlando Bloom was born on 13 January 1977, in Canterbury, England to Sonia Constance Josephine and Colin Stone. He grew up believing he was biological son of his stepdad, South African novelist Harry Saul Bloom till he was 13 years old.

Orlando was brought up in Church of England with his sister, Samantha Bloom. He attended St. Peters Methodist Primary School, junior school of the Kings School and St. Edmund School in Canterbury. Subsequently, he took an A-level course in Drama, Photography, and Sculpture at Fine Arts College, Hampstead and has also earned a scholarship to train at British American Drama Academy.
