Former British Formula One driver Jenson Button took his professional line with his early passion and interest. The obvious result is all his achievement in the Formula One and racing career.

Jenson Button won the 2009 Formula One World Championship from Brawn GP. He currently drives for Team Kunimitsu in the Japanese Super GT Series, winning the title in 2018.

Jenson Button was born as Jenson Alexander Lyons Button on 19 January 1980 in Frome, Somerset, United Kingdom. He possesses mixed ethnicity as his father, John Button was an English Rallycross driver and mother, Simone Lyons was of South African descent.

His parents got divorced when he was seven and started living with his mother for a short time along with his three elder sisters.  Later, he moved to his stepmother, Pippa Kerr, whom his father married in 1994.

Jenson, who stands at the height of 6 feet (1.82 meters)  received his education from Vallis  First School, Selwood Middle School ,and Frome Community College.

Racing Career

Jenson, who started karting at the age of 8, made his significant debut in Formula 1 in 2000 with Williams, being the youngest British driver ever to start an F1 race in Australia at the age of  20 years and 53 days.

In 2001, he moved to Benetton, which is now been purchased by Renault. In 2004 he finished 3rd in the World Drivers’ Championship, playing from BAR (British American Racing). The year 2006 was the remarkable year for Jenson, where he drove brilliantly at the Hungarian Grand Prix to take his maiden win after starting down in 14th place.

Jenson won a record-tying six of the first seven races of the 2009 season, securing the World Drivers’ Championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix, having led on points all season. His achievement helped Brawn GP to secure the World Constructors’ Championship.

However, in 2010, he moved to McLaren, partnering former World Champion Lewis Hamilton. He spent five seasons with the McLaren team in 2014, his fifteenth in Formula One. Later, he went on to complete two further years at the team until 2016 and stepped back from full-time racer to take the role of an ambassadorial and reserve driver. In 2017, he made his return for a one-off appearance at the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix in place of Fernando Alonso.

While working with the giant teams like McLaren, Jenson used to earn an annual salary of $16.5 million. Following the long-tenured and successful racing career the Formula 1 star has accumulated the gigantic net worth of $150 million.

Jenson has a racing team: Jenson Team Rocket RJN, which possesses a vast CV covering Dakar, GT3 and GT4 among other motorsport disciplines. He bought a 5 million pound mansion in Los Angeles in June 2017 and put it on the market for $6.85 million in October 2018.

Shares Son With Model Girlfriend

Jenson, aged 39 is currently in a committed relationship with the 28 years old American model Brittny Ward. Brittny is a Californian model, who has founded her own swimwear band Girlsonswim.com.

The pair announced their engagement in June 2018 after dating for two years. In  January 2019 they shared the news of expecting child; a baby boy through their Instagram post. Eventually, they welcomed a son named Hendrix in July 2019.

Moreover, Jenson holds some prominent names in his dating list such as Rose McGowan, Florence Brudenell. He started dating singer and actress Louise Griffiths in 2000 and announced their engagement in 2003. However, they called off their engagement and started dating Japanese model Jessica Michibata.  They tied the wedding knot in December 2014. But, the future had other plans for them and they split in 2015 after a year of their marriage.
