Meet Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Parents & Family
Kvaratskhelia is the son of parents Badri Kvaratskhelia and Maka Lukava. He was born on 12 February 2001 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The winger has a footballing family background. His father Badri is a former footballer who has played domestic football in Georgia and Azerbaijan. Born in the Georgian SSR, he has represented the Azerbaijan national team internationally.
Likewise, his paternal grandfather Mamiya Kvaratskhelia was also a footballer. He has followed his father and grandfather’s footsteps pursuing a career in football.
Khvicha is one of three sons of his parents and has two brothers Nika Kvaratskhelia and Tornike Kvaratskhelia. Both his brothers are footballers. His elder brother Nika played football until the age of 19 and his younger brother Tornike still plays football.

His Career Journey
Initially, Khvicha played for the youth teams at the Erovnuli Liga side Dinamo Tbilisi. In 2017, he began his senior career at Dinamo Tbilisi and moved to the Erovnuli Liga 2 side FC Rustavi in 2018.
During his time at FC Rustavi, he was loaned to the Russian Premier League (RPL) club Lokomotiv Moscow in February 2019. Furthermore, he joined the Russian second-tier club Rubin Kazan later that year.
In March 2022, FIFA announced that it would allow joining clubs outside of Russia because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Eventually, his contract was suspended and he joined Dinamo Batumi in Georgia.
Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli on 1 July 2022 and made his professional debut in a Serie A game against Hellas Verona on 15 August 2022. Internationally, he represents the Georgia national team.
