The player was born as William Joshua Reddick on 19 February 1987 in Savannah, Georgia to parents, Kenny and Cheryl Reddick. His father lost his left hand when 7,620 volts of electricity shot through his body in a work accident. Josh went to South Effingham High School in Guyton, Georgia and then attended Middle Georgia College, playing baseball in the NJCAA.

Josh stands at the height of 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) and weighs around 82 kg.

Career, Stats & Contract

Josh professional career commenced after the Boston Red Sox picked him in the 2006 MLB draft. However, it took him three years to be in the playing squad in 2009. The player committed with Sox two years until the team traded him to Oakland Athletics on 28 December 2011. Three years later, he signed a year contract worth $2.7 million on 15 February 2014 and $4.1 million in 2015. The next year his contract signing elevated to be $6.575 million in 2016.

In the same year, the Athletics traded him to the Los Angeles Dodgers on 1 August 2016. Within three months later the Astros signed him on a four-year contract worth $52 million on 23 November 2016.

Josh’s Wife & Wedding

Besides his fantastic career lift, he relishes great matrimony with an amazing wife, Georgette Elkins. The couple who got engaged on 28 June 2018 went to exchange their wedding vows on 21 January 2019 at the Jekyll Island Club Resort in Georgia.
