Jonathan Taylor Thomas is prominently known for his work as Randy Taylor on Home Improvement. He has even more fan following as the voice of the young Simba in Disney’s 1994 movie, The Lion King.

The promising actor, age 39, was born as Jonathan Taylor Weiss on 8 September 1981 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the United States. He is the second son of his industrial sales manager father, Stephen Weiss and a personal manager and social worker mother, Claudine (born Gonsalves).  Jonathan has an older brother named Joel Thomas Weiss.

Jonathan and his family moved to California from Bethlehem when he was four years old. Unfortunately, his parents decided to end their marriage terms in the year 1991. Standing tall at the height of 5 feet and 6 inches (1.68 m), Jonathan graduated with honors from Chaminade College Preparatory School in West Hills, California.

The talented actor initiated his acting career voicing Spot in a TV show, The Adventures of Spot (1987-1993). He also appeared as Kevin Brady in the comedy-drama series, The Bradys in 1990. Some of his other TV series were Veronica Mars (2005), 8 Simple Rules (2004), The Wild Thornberrys (2000), Ally McBeal (2000), The Oz Kids (1996), The Itsy Bitsy Spider (1994) and In Living Color (1991). His early TV credits were The Bradys (1990) and The Adventure of Spot (1987).

Jonathan announced his big-screen debut as the voice of Young Simba in the 1994 animated musical flick, The Lion King. Year after year, he was part of some other brilliant silver screen spectacles like Pom Poko (1994), Man of the House (1995), Tom and Huck (1995), The Adventures of Pinocchio (1996), Wild America (1997) and I Woke Up Early the Day I Died and I’ll Be Home for Christmas in 1998.
