Joe made his ATP main draw debut at the 2014 U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships alongside partner David O’Hare. Likewise, he played college tennis at the University of Memphis from 2010 to 2014.
Salisbury made his career breakthrough, reaching the semi-finals in the 2018 Wimbledon men’s doubles from a wildcard. He has won two Grand Slam titles; the 2020 Australian Open in men’s doubles partnering Rajeev Ram and the 2021 French Open in mixed doubles partnering Desirae Krawczyk.
Similarly, he claimed his first Grand Slam mixed doubles title at 2021 Roland Garros along with partner Desirae Krawczyk.
Joe is now participating in Tennis Doubles in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He, along with partner Andy Murray reached the men’s doubles quarter-final at Tokyo Olympics.
One of his best playing moments has been the 2019 Wimbledon Championship playing alongside Rajeev Ram in the Men’s Doubles. Together, the two made it to the round of 16.

The athlete won the 2020 Australian Open with his top-notch partnership with Rajeev. Together, the deadly duo beat wildcards Max Purcell and Luke Saville in the final. However, the duo could not have a successful partnership run in the 2021 Australian Open.
They defended their title but unfortunately lost to Filip Polasek and Ivan Dodig on 3-6 and 4-6 in the finals. Sometime later, he won the mixed doubles title during the 2021 French Open with Desirae Krawczyk.
Joe and Ram have won Masters 1000 in Canada at the 2021 National Bank Open. It is his first Masters 1000 win defeating World Number one and two Croatians, Pavic and Mektic. But they lost to the same Croatian pair in the second final for the year at a Masters level post the 2021 Italian Open.
Moreover, during the 2021 US Open Salisbury partner with Ram, they reached the final. The two defeated Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in a long three-hour match-saving four match points during the quarterfinal and Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey in the semifinals.
