The former player was born as Jessica Ofelia Mendoza on 11 November 1980 in Camarillo, California. Her family includes parents, Karen and Gil Mendoza, including a brother named Walt, and two sisters, Elena and Alana. She went to Adolfo Camarillo High School to complete her graduation. The reporter went to Stanford to complete her graduation in Master’s Degree in Social Sciences and Education.

The 39-year-old has a net worth of $2 million from professional softball and sports broadcasting career. In 1999, she began her career as a First Team All-American and All-Pac-10 honoree. Over four years of playing, she got the recipient of the Stanford Athlete of the Year three times. For three consecutive times, she won Pac-10 Player of the Week. She also played as an outfielder for Team USA at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games in 2004. Likewise, from 30 June 2014, her association with ESPN began for its popular show, ESPN’s Baseball Tonight.

She became the first female broadcaster in the booth for ESPN’s College World Series coverage with Karl Ravech and Kyle Peterson on 16 June 2015. A year later, ESPN announced her joining the Sunday Night Baseball broadcast team full-time, with Shulman and Aaron Boone on 13 January 2016. She also took the role of Operations Advisory of the New York Mets on 5 March 2019.

Jessica’ Husband & More

Besides her professional commitment, her husband’s name is Adam Burks, to whom she met in 2004 when she was a part of the American softball team. Sometime later, they met again at a wedding in Southern California, and a few years apart walked the wedding aisle in 2016.

The couple shares three sons, Caleb in 2009 and Caden in 2013 and the youngest family member’s name, still missing. Because of his children and family obligations, Adam had to quit his job. By profession, he is a former U.S. Marine who had served in Operation Desert Storm in Iraq, including some civil engineering works.
