Vora was born and brought up in the United States by her parents of Indian origin. She was born Sapana Ramesh Vora in 1984.
Vora grew up in her hometown of Cary, North Carolina. She is 41 years old as of 2026.
Speaking more about her family, Vora’s parents moved from Gujarat, India, to the United States and settled there. With American nationality, Vora has a South Asian ethnicity.

Previously, she was a senior policy advisor at the Pentagon, US Department of Defense, Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy from August 2021 to June 2023.
From January 2017 to August 2021, Vora served in different positions at the U.S. Department of State. Earlier, she was a research associate at the Institute of Medicine from April 2015 to August 2015.
Vora was also a 2015 Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology graduate policy fellow at the National Academy of Sciences. Before that, she worked as a summer intern at GlaxoSmithKline from May 2005 to July 2005 and again from May 2006 to July 2006.
