The young NFL player died following a tragic car accident on 30 May 2022. His girlfriend, Mercedes Palacios, was also a passenger in his car and was also killed on the spot after their car crashed off the road.

According to the reports, Jeff’s car crashed in Dallas, Texas at 2:30 AM. He was traveling with his girlfriend in his Mercedes SUV and suddenly his SUV picked up an excessive speed.

As a result, his vehicle clipped a car and then spun off the road. His SUV then crashed into a brick wall and ignited into flames, killing both Jeff and his lover.

After a promising college career, Jeff was selected as the 31st overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft. His first forced fumble for the Vikings came in the Week 6 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

At the end of his debut season, Jeff recorded the stats of 81 total tackles, three passes defended, and one forced fumble. However, as he was wiled up in the domestic violence charge, the Vikings released him on 3 August 2021.

Eventually, Jeff signed with the Arizona Cardinals on 16 March 2022. He then penned a contract with the Cardinals with a base salary of $1,500,000 in the 2022 season. Unfortunately, Jeff passed away before the start of his debut season as the Cardinals’ player.
