His father Tom is a general contractor who has built multi-million dollar training facilities in his hometown in Waukesha.
The 6-foot-1-inch is the middle of three children in the family and has an elder sister named Taylor Kelenic and a younger brother named JT Kelenic.

Jarred was drafted sixth overall by the New York Mets in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He signed a $4.5 million and then was assigned to the Rookie League Gulf Coast League Mets.
Afterward, he was promoted to the Rookie League Kingsport Mets of the Appalachian League. Meanwhile, on 3 December 2018, the Mets traded him to the Seattle Mariners.
Kelenic played with the West Virginia Power of the Class A South Atlantic League and also with the Modesto Nuts of the Class A-Advanced California League.
Furthermore, in August 2019, he was promoted to the Arkansas Travelers, and later, the Peoria Javelinas selected him to play in the Arizona Fall League.
However, in February 2021, Jarred revealed that he is a victim of service-time manipulation by the Seattle Mariners. Similarly, he added that he is punished for refusing to sign a contract proposal nearly 14 months ago.
