Jaime Elizabeth Pressly was born on 30 July 1977 to parents James Liston Pressly and Brenda Sue Pressly. Her father was a car salesman and her mother was a dance instructor. At the age of 15, she moved with her family to Costa Mesa, California. She has two siblings; a brother James Liston Pressly, Jr. and a sister named Jessica Pressly.

Jaime with a height of 5 feet 4 inches went to high school at Costa Mesa, California. Later, she dropped out of school and went to Japan on a modeling contract. Earlier, Pressly started modeling and appeared on her first cover, Teen Magazine at the age of 14. Meanwhile, she became the official spokesmodel for the International Cover Model Search.

She portrayed the main role as Joy Turner in the sitcom My Name Is Earl, appearing from 2005 to 2009. Furthermore, from 2011 to 2012, she appeared in the main role as Annie Watson in the sitcom I Hate My Teenage Daughter.

However, the two finalized their divorce on 10 November 2011, citing the irreconcilable differences. In the same year, she began dating a store owner Hamzi Hijazi. In June 2017, she announced that she is expecting twin boys with her boyfriend. They welcomed twin sons Leo and Lenon Hijazi on 16 October 2017.
