Jason Snell took a Jeopardy anytime test in 2023 and passed all the online tests and interviews. More than two years later, he got a text from the officials and is now appearing on this season’s trivia game show.

Jason Snell applied to compete on Jeopardy, taking the anytime test back in 2023. Two and a half years later, he is appearing on the 42nd season of America’s favorite quiz show, Jeopardy. His debut episode will air on Thursday, 19 March 2026.
As per the show’s format, he will share the stage with two more contestants, including a returning previous episode champion, Jamie Ding. Jamie is unstoppable this season: he secured his fourth straight win on the 18th March episode.
The Lawrence Township, New Jersey-based bureaucrat and a law student has total four-day winnings of $106,601. Jordan Haynie Ware, a priest from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is also taking on a Jeopardy stage for the first time on the episode.

Jason Snell Wikipedia, Age & Education
Born on 6 October 1970, Jason is 55 years old now. He goes by the full name Jason Alexander Snell.
A native of Sonora, California, he spent his early life with his family there. He completed his high school education at Sonora Union High School, graduating in 1988.
Snell then went to Revelle College at the University of California, San Diego, and was editor in chief of the UCSD Guardian newspaper. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 1992, and then spent a summer writing daily news stories for Sonora’s Union Democrat newspaper.
In 1994, he earned a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley.

Snell is a writer, editor, and podcaster who covers technology focused on Apple Inc.’s Macintosh computers, iPhones, and services, and also pop culture.
Currently, he runs the podcast network, The Incomparable, focused on panel discussions of pop culture, as well as a dedicated game-show podcast. He also hosts several shows on technology topics at Relay FM.
Previously, he served on the Chair of board of directors at the National Novel Writing Month, where he was also a board member. He served at IDG for more than 25 years, taking several positions such as editor-in-chief of Macworld magazine and a senior vice president of IDG Consumer & Small Business Publishing (CSMB).
