Grammy-Nominated Rapper Nipsey Hussle Shot Dead At Los Angeles

Just before hours of the shooting, Nipsey Hussle wrote a mystifying post on his Twitter account. According to the reports, he was shot multiple times and immediately rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

American rapper and songwriter Nipsey Hussle shot to death multiple times in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles on 31st March 2019. Nipsey whose real name is Ermias Davidson Asghedom, got shot outside of his store The Marathon Clothing in South Los Angeles.

The shooting which injured two others took place outside the Marathon Clothing Company. The clothing line came into the opening in 2017 by Nicole along with two partners.

The Grammy-nominated rapper posted a tweet hours before the shooting where he stated that having strong enemies is a blessing.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, no suspects have been detained. It posted a tweet just after the incident.

At approximately 3:20 pm there was a shooting reported in the area of Slauson Ave and Crenshaw Blvd. 3 victims were transported to a local hospital where one was pronounced deceased. We have no suspect info at this time and will provide more details as they become available.

Various artist and celebrities took their social sites to mourn the 33-year-old rapper such as Drake and Meek Mill.

In 2018, Nipsey went to release his first official album, Victory Lap; Best Rap Album category in the 2019 Grammys. But, he ultimately lost to Cardi B’s album, Invasion of Privacy.

Nipsey has a daughter named Kross Asghedom, born in 2016 from his relationship with longtime girlfriend, actress Lauren London. He also has an elder daughter Emani Asghedom, who was born from his previous relationship.

He has released numerous mixtapes such as Bullets Ain’t Got No Name series, The Marathon, and The Marathon Continues and Crenshaw. With his long stint to the music industry, he has garnered the estimated net worth of $4.5 million.
