In 2021, he turned professional and claimed his first professional victory at the Wyoming Open in the same year. After a T39 finish at the 2021 Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying Tournament, he earned the Korn Ferry Tour membership for the first time ahead of the 2022 season.
Matt has registered three Korn Ferry Tour wins and all was in the 2024 season. He has won the Price Cutter Charity Championship, the Pinnacle Bank Championship, and the Albertsons Boise Open. Likewise, his victory on the Price Cutter Charity Championship at Highland Springs Country Club on 21 July 2024 earned him the PGA Tour card for the 2025 season.
