The 21-years-of-age basketball player was born as De’Aaron Martez Fox in 1997 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the United States. He is among the two sons of his parents, Aaron and Lorainne Harris-Fox. De’Aaron shares a sibling bond with his brother, Quentin Fox.

About 6 feet and 3 inches (1.91 meters) tall in height, De’Aaron joined the Cypress Lakes High School in Houston, Texas. There, he commenced his early amateur basketball career. Eventually, he committed to play college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats of the University of Kentucky.

De’Aaron Fox ringed his professional NBA debut after being selected as the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. Later on 8 July 2017, he penned a rookie scale contract with the Kings. During his four games in the 2017 NBA Summer League, he averaged 11.8 points, 3 assists, and 2.3 steals while playing 21.3 minutes per game.

Subsequently, De’Aaron made his NBA debut in the King’s jersey in their season opener against the Houston Rockets on 18 October 2017. In the game, he scored 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Later on 28 January 2018, he scored a season-high 26 points in a 15-point loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

De’Aaron was out of action for a while after suffering an ankle injury on 11 November 2019. However, he is back fit now with the squad.
