Dana Schwartz First Met Ian Karmel In 2020
Well, the first meeting of Dana and Ian was set by Ian himself. The comedian is popularly known as a co-head writer for CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden. He is the 2019 Emmy winner for his work on Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live From Liverpool.
It was the year 2020 when Ian invited her to be on his podcast. As the duo have followed each other on their X (then Twitter), they they still hadn’t met in person.
They stayed in touch, texting and chatting on the phone but could not set up a date because of the Covid pandemic.
Later, Ian rented out a private movie theater and had their first official dinner-and-a-movie-style date. They watched Dana’s favorite movie, You’ve Got Mail. The date was July 2021.
They were having ice cream at their neighborhood spot when Ian immediately popped the question to Dana. The duo got engaged and began their wedding plan.
Dana & Ian Wedded Honoring Jewish Traditions
Dana and Ian got married on September 4, 2022. As both the couple were raised Jewish, their Jewish wedding ceremony was held at a wonderful venue. It was The Ebell of Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California.
Honoring Jewish traditions, they exchanged wedding vows under the chuppah. Afterward, they shared great emotions while dancing the Hora. The attendees included their parents, siblings, and close family members and friends.
Fast forward to the 2024, they celebrated their second wedding anniversary this month. The lovebirds are leading a happy married life filled with Ian’s sense of humor.
